Guest Artist of the Month for May 2026: Gale Bard!

Local Gouache artist Gale Bard Turns Recovery into Art Through Powerful Creative Expression

Local artist Gale Bard is gaining recognition for her vibrant gouache paintings and the deeply personal story behind her work.
A recovering drug addict, Bard has transformed her life through art, using painting not only as a creative outlet but as a meaningful part of her recovery journey.

Working primarily in gouache, an opaque watercolor medium known for its richness and depth, Bard creates emotionally resonant pieces filled with vivid color, atmosphere, and detail. Her artwork reflects both technical skill and personal healing with each painting representing perseverance, growth and self-expression.

As she continues to grow her presence in the local art community, Bard hopes her story and her art will encourage others to believe in second chances and the healing power of creative expression.
Come see Gales' work this month at the studio!
